LUIS from diluvio on Vimeo.

Luis, is the second short in a series titled Lucia, Luis y el lobo by Chilean artists Niles Atallah, Cristobal Leon, and Joaquin Cociña. Luis was created using dirt, flowers, charcoal, found objects, and cardboard. It’s sister video, Lucia, was also shot frame by frame with a digital photo camera.

  1. Wow, that short is amazing and terrifying. I really like the way it’s written.

    “She said, ‘Whats your name?'”

    “I said, ‘Luis'”

    “And she called me Luis”

“And I said ‘I love you and i want to see you'”

It’s non-sequiter and fantastical like a childs thought process. It seems like this is the imagination of a lonely boy playing in the woods. A kid who’s all alone and free to run around, swear, and pretend to be destructive.
I think the end is the boy drifting off to sleep.
